Report on Elections and Proxy Issues – At the 39th Annual Assembly

Cathy Allen, Trinity Valley, will serve the final year of Stefanie Oppenheimer’s unexpired term.
Gordon Arent, RIMA, and Don Bohl, Fairfield County will be alternates and will be called on as a replacement for any unexpired term.
 
Four Proxy Issues Were Approved
1.The proposed budget of $42,000 for fiscal Year 2019 (July 14, 2018, to July 19, 2019).
2.The proposal to change the tier structure for annual assessments from the previous “flat rates per tier” to a “per new pescador rate” with a minimum of $100.00 per annum assessment for Fiscal Year 2019.

3.The proposal to change the name of the Services Committee to the Communications Committee and explicitly add the responsibilities of oversight, maintenance and updates of the Tres Dias International website and social media/communications.
4.The proposal to change the Tres Dias by-Laws to extend the terms of office for secretariat members and officers from two to three years, with roughly 1/3 of the board being elected annually.
