Trinity Valley Tres Dias

http://www.trinityvalleytresdias.org/

TVTD recently completed its 11th set of weekends since beginning in the Spring of 2004 with over 600 candidates having completed the TVTD weekend.

Two sponsored Communities of TVTD are:  Peru Tres Dias has completed their 5th set of weekends and Minnesota Tres Dias has completed their 6th set of weekends. Both should apply for their Charter as a Tres Dias Community this year.

Anyone interested in serving on a Peru Tres Dias would be welcomed and an encouragement to that Community. For more information, please contact Richard Thornhill, President, TVTD, at richone07@gmail.com

You do not have to speak Spanish to participate and be richly blessed. The next sets of weekends in Peru are:

Men's #6 on 29 October - 1 November 2009. The women's #6 will be 5 - 8 November. Lima, Peru is a very modern city, rich in culture and heritage.

TVTD is considering a Summer TD set of weekends with a smaller number of candidates and team members.

Board meetings are held monthly on the second Friday of the month. All communities’ members are encouraged to attend and participate. Elections are held every August to alternately rotate Officers, each serving a two year term.

TVTD #12 Men's will begin on Thursday 8 October and the #12 Women's on 15 October.

A Tres Dias Essentials Workshop will be conducted late in the summer or Early Fall prior to the next set of weekends

Tres Dias London & South East of England

Third time lucky! The third attempt to hold Tres Dias London and South East Men’s No. 8 was successful with 9 pilgrims and a team which spanned the divide of the South East and South West of England communities. It was held in March at our favored venue of The Emmaus Centre, West Wickham which is central to the London and South East, albeit that the fourth day community was quite small in number for the closing service. The international Palanca was much appreciated. Many of the pilgrims indicated a willingness to be involved in the next men’s weekend to be held in 2010 to be led by Ralph Bradford – a name many of you will know from when Ralph faithfully communicated with the various TD communities over several years with Palanca.

TDL&SE’s Women’s No. 12 are conducting their second training day next Saturday in readiness for their weekend to be held at the Emmaus Centre 2 – 5 July. Only 1 pilgrim is registered to date, so please pray that all those who are considering participating will put pen to paper and hands in pockets!

Patricia Hollander (LR) will be having the faithful duo of SDs Sister Annunciata Caffrey from Belfast who is very active in the Ireland TD community and is of a questionable age somewhere in her late 80s, and Rev. Hilary Jones who serves 5 rural churches in Kent.

The banner scripture is:
“The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.” Habakkuk 3:19
 KJV

The AGM will be held at the same time as the welcoming Secuela for the women’s No. 12 in Canterbury on Sat. 18 July 2009. Please pray that this previously sparsely attended meeting will kindle new blood through the fire of the Holy Spirit so that the community may once again flourish and grow and cancelled weekends will be a thing of the past.

Tres Dias London & South East of England Women’s # 12 : July 2-5th 2009.

Essentials training is incorporated in the team training sessions prior to weekends.
Our Secretariat meetings are  Bi-monthly at various locations around London and Kent.

3 years is length of service on Secretariat. However, as Libby Epps stepped down after 2 years and Corinne Herrick was phased in as new President from December 2008, Corinne has requested that for continuity Ruth Horton continue into a 4th or even 5th year as Secretary and Minutes Secretary to the Secretariat. Corinne continues to act as Kent Chair. Vice President continues to be Albert Bottell who is also London Chair and assistant Treasurer. Albert also deals with Gift Aid. This is his 5th year of service but he does not wish to assume the role of President.

Women’s #58 November  5 – 8, 2009

Jamaica Tres Dias

http://www.jamaicatresdias.org

One group schedules a mini sequel/reunion group every quarter in the months that have a 5th Sunday. They all go to the same service and meet afterwards – that seems to be working well for that particular area.

The last weekends in Sept 08 went extremely well – The Men had 24 candidates and 3 dedications.

The Women had 42 candidates and 6 dedications – hopefully to be followed with baptism at their local churches.

Some highlights include

       Fathers forgiven

       Marriages were restored

       Bitterness and hatred healed

       Self destructive thoughts and behavior ended.

       At least one child that we know of – will not be aborted. Thank Jesus.

       Prejudices realized and broken down

       Leadership developed

       Joy restored

We plan to conduct Tres Dias Essentials Training in 2009 but the date has not been finalized.

Our current President/Chairperson is Marcia Steele.

Vermont Tres Dias

www.vttresdias.org

Secuelas and Secretariats are held on the third Saturday of every month and are hosted by a Pescadores’s home church. Each month it is held at a different location throughout the state. This gives the Pescadores a chance to see other churches and to have a turn at hosting a Secretariat and secuela. It also makes it easier for those that would have to travel long distances from the center of Vermont to be able to attend.

Open Secuela and picnic on July 18th, rain or shine, at The Pasture’s Campground in Orford, New Hampshire. Family and guests get to meet the community.

Upcoming weekends:

Men’s Weekend is Oct. 29th to Nov. 1st

Women’s Weekend is Nov. 12th to 16th

A Workshop for the Essentials training is scheduled for August 10th. All Team members and first time sponsors are required to attend; otherwise it is open to the whole community.

Tres Dias Northern New Jersey

Paul Markowitz is our current President/Chairman. We recently held elections for new Secretariat board members.

Our finances need building and we need to increase our Pescadore involvement.

Our Data base needs to be updated.  Some Pescadores have moved to a new location without supplying their updated information.

Two sets of weekends are currently planned.

TDNNJ is helping Lehigh Valley Tres Dias (new community in Pennsylvania) to get started by asking New Jersey pescadores to serve on LVTD #1. Susquehanna Valley Tres Dias is the sponsoring community. Many of our pescadores served on the steering committee.

We are searching other facilities in hopes that God will provide a permanent "home" for the New Jersey weekends.

Lehigh Valley Tres Dias (Emerging Community)

http://www.lehighvalleytresdias.org/

We are so excited to watch as our Lord forms Lehigh Valley Tres Dias, an emerging community in southeastern Pennsylvania. In January, a group of seven Pescadores began praying for this community -- now we have more than 100 people in our database!  With guidance from our wonderful sponsoring community, Susquehanna Valley Tres Dias, and our neighbors to the east, Tres Dias of Northern New Jersey, we formed a Steering Committee in February and began the process of setting up our Secretariat. We recently finalized our By-Laws and are now scheduling our Essentials Training. Our first set of weekends will be held at a fully equipped Spanish camp this fall. LVTD Men's #1 will be Sept. 10-13 with John Gorton as Rector, and LVTD Women's #1 will be Oct. 8-11 with Dawn Wegfahrt as Rector. As teams are selected and arrangements are made, we continue to marvel at the work of God's hands, particularly how quickly and how thoroughly He has provided everything we need. Each obstacle we have given Him in prayer, He has returned to us as Palanca!  Please continue to pray for us and watch our progress through our newsletter and website, both currently under development.

DeColores!

Kerry Paterson

Steering Committee President

Big Sky Tres Dias

http://www.bigskytresdias.org

Because of the long distances between our members we have started conference call Secretariat Meetings to see if that will work for at least one of the meetings every year.

Each individual town now has a sequela once per month as there is such a great distance for people to travel to one town. Attendance has grown since we started doing that.

Upcoming Weekends:Our Fall weekends are listed on the website. The Men and Women’s Spring dates are not firmly set; probability is the end of April, beginning of May.

Gary Phelps from Montana Tres Dias is attending the Essentials training  and hopes to train others throughout the state.

Montana is a vast territory and we are spread over hundreds of miles. The location for our Secretariat meetings change often in order to accommodate our members (i.e. move to different towns each meeting)

We will have new elections in the Fall and our officers hold a 2 year term.

Long Island Tres Dias.

http://WWW.LITD.org

We have “adopted” the Abundant Life Tres Dias and Northern Illinois Tres Dias communities.  We keep in contact with and pray for the concerns of both communities.

We have also invited the CT tres dias community to join us at a Long Island Ducks game in July in lieu of a secuela.  The Ducks are a minor league team on Long Island and they are hosting the CT affiliate on July 25th.

Our president has also initiated a post card program (see attached) that alerts the community to secuelas, weekends, special events, etc.  It has been helpful in getting some past members of LITD involved again especially those who do not have internet access.

Upcoming weekends:        9/17-20/09  Men’s Tres Dias #72  Rector Larry Arnold
10/1-4/09  Women’s Tres Dias #74  Rectrix Carol Arnold

Our Tres Dias school, or boot camp as we call it, was held earlier this year and we have another one scheduled for May, 2010. This is a yearly event.

Our meetings are held in different locations each month.  We use several churches throughout the Long Island area.

Our elections are held when a term is expiring, (all terms are two years), or a member cannot complete their commitment due to changing circumstances.  Each member may serve three terms before stepping down for one flight.

MOSCOW TRES DIAS

http://www.tresdias-mos.narod.ru
Thanks to God’s blessings, help and leading Tres Dias in Russia is alive and doing great!

Moscow Tres Dias community is the sponsor of Voronezh and S-Petersburg TD. We are sharing all we have with these communities; people, financial, knowledge and love. All three communities help each other and grow in Christ.

Our monthly Sequelas became more interesting and are attended by 20-40 people.  Thanks to Secuela leader we have interesting secuelas. About 30 people attend secuelas. At the victory secuela this March we had more then 100 people!

Moscow and S-Petersburg communities were blessed to have TD School!! We didn’t expect such interest and response of Pescadores. We have learnt many interesting things and finally understood the differences between the By-laws and tradition.

At Christmas time we hold the open secuela. We invite family members and friends of our pescadores to the secuela. During that secuela we avoid using the Spanish Tres Dias words such as palanca, pescadore, rollo, the Fourth day and so on. Family members have a chance to see where their relatives spend time and why. It is helps them to understand their wives or husbands, brothers or sisters and help to break the wall of secrets. After such secuelas we have more Pescadores at the secuelas and more team members and candidates at the weekends.

During the summer time we hold our secuelas out doors. It helps us to save money for rent the facility for secuela.

We have a Palanca club to encourage the community to get involved in palanca. People make different kind palanca and banners together; play skits and have fun.

Each month we send out the letter of information to better communicate with our community and reminders Pescadores of our meetings. Two very talented ladies create fantastic letters which touch people by the form, content and design.

We also have an e-mail prayer chain. We are blessed to have a Prayer Leader Igor Sobolev who runs our prayer chain. People from different cities send their prayer needs and thanks for answering prayers to Moscow Tres Dias community.

We are praying to start a new TD community in Kazan. We need prayer support and financial aid. Without your help we couldn’t spread TD in Russia!

Upcoming weekends:             Saint-Petersburg Tres Dias community (2009)
                                                      Men’s weekend # 12 in August 19-22
                                                      Women’s weekend # 12 in August 23-26

Our date for the women’s weekend changed because we had difficulty with the availability of the facility.

Our Tres Dias school was held in January 2009 in Moscow and April this year in St. Petersburg.

Our meetings are held as follows:

Each first Friday in Moscow / Each third Tuesday in S-Petersburg  / when Andrei Dubrovsky comes in Voronezh.

Our officers hold term for three years.
