Communities Reporting
Altoona-Johnstown
We are very
pleased to announce our new President, Mary Emery. Her term will begin January
2009. Mary is currently residing in Duncansville, PA, and graciously accepted
the opportunity to chair our community.
Our elections are held annually at the December Christmas party. The term is for 2 years with the first year as assistant and the 2nd year as the Head of Leadership. There are two positions on our secretariat that are permanent until an officer resigns. Those positions are Secretary, and Treasurer.
The immediate plan for our community is to attend the 2009 International Secretariat meeting in Cleveland. We plan to gain Essentials training for some of our members. The training we receive at the summer Assembly will be utilized to further the growth of our community. We plan to follow up with a Tres Dias school for our community afterwards.
Montego Bay Tres Dias
Just a note to apprise you and the International community of what
God is doing in Jamaica. We just completed M.B.T.D # 3 in Sept. and have
scheduled #4 for May 14th and 21st 2009. We have a team
in Jamaica as I write holding the Essentials training and participating in a
Sequela.
We are planning on filing for our charter in November so be on the lookout. The Caribbean is on fire for God and Tres Dias is becoming an even more important part of His equation for moving in the lives of His people.
Seoul Tres Dias-Land of the Morning Calm
We do not have any request or special items to share but we are pleased to announce that we are currently holding our 47th Tres Dias weekend.
TRES DIAS KOREAN REGION COMMITTEE
We would like to report that Monday, November 24th 2008, a workshop in Spirituality training is being sponsored for our region by our committee. Richard Thornhill, Membership Vice President of Tres Dias International, is visiting from America and presides as the workshop instructor.
Tres Dias Montana
We are joining with Big Sky Tres Dias, also of Montana, to co-sponsor a new Community in Payette, Idaho called Treasure Valley Tres Dias. This Secretariat is now forming, and a tentative date for the first set of weekends to be early summer of ’09.
Tres Dias New Hampshire
We currently hold 4 weekends per year. Our Sequela’s are held on the third Saturday of every month except August. We are blessed with a variety of churches that offer to host our Sequela’s. Our attendance range is from 30 to 40 people.
Secretariat elections occur at the November Sequela. Each new member is asked to serve a three year term with an option to enlist for another 3 years at the end of their first term. After serving two terms members are asked to rotate off.
We have volunteered to host the Fall International Secretariat meeting in October of 2009 and we look forward to sponsoring this event.
Trinity Valley TD
We
have completed our 10th set of weekends and are considering going to 3 sets of
weekends next year. Among our pescadores are quality people who are developing
into quality leaders.
We are sponsoring a new Community in Peru which has just completed its 4th set
of weekends with Peruvian Rectors. Both weekends went very well and the
Peruvian leadership is developing rapidly. In May the Peruvians sponsored over
20 Ecuadorians to attend Peru TD #3 to help "jumpstart" the new
community in Guayaquil, Ecuador. South America will soon have established and
chartered Communities ... and a dream to sponsor a TD Community in Spain.
