These following are excerpts from the highlights form that was sent to every community. I wish to express thanks to all those who were able to respond.

Communities Reporting:

Abundant Life
We received our non-profit status last year from the IRS.  We are looking into different ideas for fund-raising to be able to offer candidate and team scholarships for the weekends.

Our community held a Leader’s school in February 2008.

The elections are held every year; three of the offices come up for election.  The term of service is three years.

We recently received a meditation book that has been helpful to the quality of our Reunion Group meetings. We also invoke the presence of the Holy Spirit before going through our card on Study, Action and Piety.

Central Conneticut
Our The Community has some challenges.  We have just completed Men’s 50 and Women’s #55 weekends.

Attendance at our Monthly Secuelas has been increasing. Annual election of new officers took place at our May Secuela.

Job descriptions have been written for various officer and committee positions.

Plans are being made to hold a school for new Rectors.

Cumberland Valley
Last year, due to a cancellation of one of our fall weekends we decided to do a fall “combined”retreat. It went very well. This year the community is very excited about it. We have the opportunity to get to know each other much better. Our weekend retreat is Friday evening thru Sunday morning and is semi-structured; but there is great opportunity for members to get to know one another. We have talks and worship and prayer; but there is also plenty of time for games and unstructured events.

We also held a combined (men’s and women’s) team meeting and did Essentials Training there.

We are still entertaining the idea of getting together with our sister community 75 mi north for a Secuela.

Long Island
We are reinstating our contact/liaison person for each church involved in Long Island Tres Dias.  This person will be responsible for stirring up the Tres Dias Community within their church. They will notify their church of Tres Dias events and opportunities to serve.

We’ve started a new column in our newsletter called FYI.  This will be used to educate/communicate information to the community.  This month’s topic was about music in our community. Future topics will be Palanca etiquette, celebrating those things in common and respecting our differences, and other topics that need clarifying in our community.

We also started a missing person column to try and update our records and find Pescadores that we have lost contact with.  Both are in our current newsletter.

We have amended our Team application, created a Team statement of belief, changed the structure of Sequela to accommodate the Secuela essentials.

Our last Tres Dias School was in January 2008 and we are planning on having a school before the fall weekends.

London and Southeast Tres Dias
We had a visit from Paul Weis to give our community in London & South East England Essentials training back in April of this year. Paul also gave us the trainer’s training so that we can reproduce the teaching of the Essentials to each team once they are formed. Paul then traveled to repeat the training to the South West community and then on to the Ireland Community. We were blessed by his teaching and to meet his wife, Karen.

Our AGM is to be held on 5 July when our president Libby Epps will be stepping down.

Mid Hudson
We have instituted a “parish representative” program.  Each church has a parish rep to distribute information to pescadores in that church .

We also have a “Speaker’s Bureau” that has been formed. Speakers will meet with church leaders within churches with small amount of pescadores to answer questions about Tres Dias and develop relationships with these leaders. If interested, they will then do small presentations to groups of interested individuals in these churches.  Purpose:  To promote understanding of the Tres Dias model, to reinforce that pescadores are encouraged to return to their churches as leaders for Christ in whatever capacity they are able to serve and to promote understanding within Christian communities.

We have discontinued printing and mailing our newsletter to our community with the exception of those who live without computers/online capability.  It is available online.  This will save $2000- 3000/year.

We held Tres Dias training on May 17th for our community.

North Georgia
We have just completed contracting for our new IT platform which is going to add many new communication tools and video training modules online. Our vendor will be a part of the Saturday workshop at the Assembly July 12.

Our Steering Committee for Tres Dias of North East Georgia is continuing to build the Fourth day activities.

TD North Georgia requires 60 "Founding Members" who are Pescadores in a new community to provide the "Fourthday Support" before we will even begin to schedule a weekend and seek candidates.

The Fourthday is the focus of Tres Dias and support must be in place to meet our objective of Pescadores with a strong growing faith and a life of devotion to the Lord Jesus.

We have almost finished filling the “Founding 60” Pescadores that we require to begin scheduling weekends.

At this point we are hopeful that the Fall of 09 or Spring of 10 will get this new community started.

Northern Illinois
We have printed a book of Meditations that lends focus on the weekend dynamics. Some of our Reunion Groups are using it. It is also available in Spanish. Any community that has an interest in obtaining a copy of our meditation book should contact us.

Orange County
We would love to make connections with any communities in the Southern California area. We have been communicating with Pal Weis about the possibility of holding an Essentials training.

Our elections will be held in the spring of 2009. Our community has decided on a 2 year term of office for our Secretariat.

Seoul Tres Dias_(Land of Morning Calm)
We have been holding  Vida Nueva( Special Weekend for the Young  Christian less than 25 years old) once a year for each of young women and  men since 1991

We have been holding Tres Dias School four times in a year before the starting of 9 weeks  pre-weekend team meeting for the each Weekend.

Our Re-elected  President/Chairperson is Jinki Lim. Our elections are held once a year.

South Hudson
We are scheduling secuelas up to about 6 months in advance – this helps with our communication newsletter; after a weekend is held, if possible, the secuela is held at the rector’s church; MHTD has been a good mentor to us with Tres Dias School/Essentials Training – we now have a good format to follow.  Also, all the information provided by National Secretariat to hold a training was FABULOUS and so easy to follow!

We held a Tres Dias Leaders’ Seminar training of the Essentials on Sat., May 17, 2008.

United Tres Dias
We are currently working on a community website and hope to complete it soon. We do not have plans to hold Tres Dias training this year.

Our candidates come from 26 different churches and NGO.

Our elections take place every two years.
